RNS is pleased to announce a new Seasonal billing option to our part-time DSL customers!

Previously, if you wanted to turn off your DSL service on a temporary basis you had to pay a $95.00 install/activation fee to get it back into service. Now you can maintain that speedy service at a much lower cost.

When leaving for your “off season”, just tell us to “turn down” your DSL service. For a $5.00 monthly maintenance fee, all of your account settings will be maintained for reactivation upon your return. When you do return there will now be a $10.00 turn-up fee. If you also decide to change DSL plans (speed) when you return - the $35.00 change fee would apply.

RNS will prorate your DSL service for the actual turn-up and turn-down dates for your regular season. If, however, you return and have your DSL turned up temporarily during your off season - for example over Christmas - you will pay the turn-up fee and for a full month of DSL service.

If you are renting a RNS router or modem, you will need to continue to pay the rental; or you may purchase the equipment. The idea is that you keep your equipment - configured for your service. The turn-down and turn-up of the service will take place on our end and would not require a service tech to come out to your location.

The above pricing applies only to the DSL portion of your service. There are several options regarding your internet/email access:

  • You may suspend your account - there would be no internet or email access, no billing, and would have a $10.00 reconnect fee.
  • You may change to an email only - there would be no internet dialup access but you could still access your email through another internet connection using web mail. Cost would be $5.00 per month with no fee to change status.
  • Or you could maintain full internet status so that the dialup and email could be used at any time.
